To the ohana (family) of these young men, thank you! The ripple effect has already crossed the ocean, as it did when I was a teen growing up in Hawaii (where everyone was jamming to PM Dawn), and now becomes something new. Love from the entire planet

Prayers for the family of Prince Be. The news of his passing hit me hard. He has always been one of my favorite artists, and it's devastating to hear that the heart and soul of PM Dawn has left us. At the same time, it's a great relief to know he's free the health battles that he's been fighting for so long. The music lives on.

Hey Prince B Just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed your music through the years. I am always returning to the sanctity of your words. Listening to Jesus Wept at the moment each day I travel to work. Thanks for being you and letting us have a small part of your magic. I hope you're happy and healthy and never forget the joy you have blessed us with. Thank you.

I am almost 40 years old and but I would have to call myself a recent fan. I owned your "Bliss" album way back but, being an ignorant white male, avoided most things labeled rap or hip hop. Having been reminded of your dress styles back in the day, I did a Youtube search for all music PM Dawn. I couldn't believe how rich and interesting your music is, especially the more recent albums, Jesus Wept & Dearest Christian. Even the songs I don't love at first, grow on me as I just let your albums play in the background. I bought your four commercially release albums off of ebay for about 6 bucks and would have gladly paid ten times that amount. Was surprised when Wikipedia stated you couldn't get an initial record deal in the US because you weren't hardcore enough. This led me to the conclusion that the reason I avoided rap and hip hop is because I disagreed with what the industry concerned what that medium of music was. I also felt angry when I read how you were disrespected by KRS-One. Anyways, would love to hear you live some time. Let me know if you are ever in the Sacramento area!
