It's tough to put in words what your music means to me. I know it sounds cliche but it's true. Since a youngin, my ear caught onto the sounds of Al B Sure, George Michael, Seal, Technotronic and more. Funny how some of my fav PM Dawn hits are samples of my fav songs already.. and when you sampled, you didnt let me down. Always a wonderful contribution. I recall hearing "Looking through patient eyes" as a child and the feeling it gave me.. or hearing "reality used to be a friend of mine" in one of my fav childhood movies, Encino Man. I recall finding the "The Best of.." in 2000 and finding songs that were new to my ears. Just today I received a CD-R of "Unreleased Vol 1" in the mail. I was fortunate enough to locate "f*cked music" last week and even found the sampler to "the Jim Sullivan Syndrome". Let's just say the excitement has peaked all over again! Til this day you cant put PM Dawn in a box and slap a label on it. That, to me, is amazing. 46 is too young to go. I hate that you (Be) suffered and that your family went through so much. However, I am happy.. happy that I was alive to live through that era and happy to open my ears to a new sound. Im 35 now, engaged and a father of four. Thank you for being there during my darkest, loneliest days as a teen. Thank you for being there when I feel joyful. PM Dawn deserves SO much more than what they received as far as accolades, album sales, etc. But that's neither here nor there now. Til the end of my days, PM Dawn.. much love.
